As well as all this fun learning I can see from the photos that Discovery was another great opportunity to apply our social and creative skills. Discovery Week 10 Term 3
I slightly less exciting start to Term 4..possibly due to a jet lag and final study assignment combination. In maths we started our unit on fractions and looked at sharing groups of objects equally into 2 or 4 groups...also a good chance to practice the Key Competency of "'Relating to Others".
We made a start on our Bee inquiry topic this term by learning this Buzzy Bee poem
We have seen a few new faces around in Room 10 recently. The first one is of a man looking very happy to have managed to squeeze back out through the trap door in our floor. Not at all what we expected when we returned to class after an outdoor activity
The second new friend we have made is Julia. She is a student form Germany doing work experience here in New Zealand. She will be working with us in the Kowhai syndicate for this term and term 1 next year. It is great to have an extra full time member of our team on board.
